'Gerry Johansson's pictures are a kindness because they establish that while some aspects of Öglunda have changed, the community still has about it a quality of sanctuary. Partly this is owing to the graceful, enfolding contour of the land, something that is now even more apparent than it was before the clearing away of underbrush, and partly it is because so many grand old trees remain.'
