Hajime Sawatari’s “Girl” (published as part of a series of photobooks by fashion brand Hysteric Glamour) is a beautifully produced, large-size monograph filled with hundreds of images of actress Mai Hoshino. Sawatari, famous for his sentimental, imaginative nude and fashion photography, approaches Hoshino from different angles, almost like an obsession. Beginning from a shy distance, Hoshino and Sawatari soon begin to appear to warm to each other as the poses, angles and situations move into ever more personal, casual, sexual and inventive territory.

Softcover, 36.5 x 31.5 cm, b&w photographs, kept in a very good condition except for some scratches on the front and back cover.
