Published in 2014, by Kawade Shobo Shinsa, Nobuyoshi Araki’s Michi contains a series of photographs which document a street viewed from his home’s balcony. Designed by Match & Company founder Satoshi Machiguchi, the images span a period of three years, beginning on the 3rd of March 2011 marking the day of the Great Tohoku Earthquake. Here Araki depicts the day to day encounters of the street, illustrating the surroundings and people who venture into his frame. Michipaints a narrative and metaphor to life and of the many roads people live within.

Hardcover under dust jacket and obi, 29,7 x 20,6 cm, b&w photographs. In very good condition other than discoloration of the obi and dust jacket, as stains, small hole on the back of the dust jacket. Signed by Nobuyoshi Araki.
