Jean-Philippe Charbonnier was a french photo-journalist. All the photographs of this book looked like a manifesto of humanistic kind. They have been taken in reports, performed around the world, for the magazine Réalités (with Edouard Boubat and Jean-Louis Swiners) to which Jean-Philippe Charbonnier was attached from 1950. His work is here accompanied by a text from the surrealist poet and writer Philippe Soupault.
