The photo book New York, New York by the Hungarian photographer György Lörinczy (1935-1981) appeared in 1972. The book is a series of experimental images of amongst others the hippie culture, performances, sinuous highways, skyscrapers and street scenes. The sequence of the images, with solarizations, distortions and extreme black and white contrasts make the spirit of the 60s tangible.

Special edition in a clamshell box, 365 x 305 mm, (250 x 210 mm for the book). Reprint in 2004 by Markus Schaden. Text in english. Limited and numbered to 50 copies with an gelatin silver print . Excellent condition. Very rare. Collector's copy.
