Kikuji KawadaChizu / The Map (Signed)

First published on August 6, 1965, the 20th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima - The Map ("Chizu") is one of the most important photobooks ever. It has appeared in Roth's Book of 101 Books, Parr & Badger The Photobook : A History, Vol I and the Photobooks of the 1960s and 1970s by Ivan Vartanian and Ryuichi Kaneko as well.

Hardcover, in a slipcase and a box housed in a clamshell box made by the previous owner, 22,5 x 15 cm. First and true edition, 1965. In Very good condition in a very good slipcase and shipping box. Small traces on the slipcase and a fold on the leaflet. Vintage dedication by Kikuji Kawada inscribed in 1967 to a graphic designer.
