There is a story told without words.
It is neither a dream nor telepathy, yet its form slowly emerges, like a star map.
Softly unfolding imaginings, quietly attending to deep sorrow and subtle tremors carry me as I slip through the spaces of light, dancing along their paths.
A gaze drawn toward beauty and toward inklings not yet named quietly guides the positions of the stars.
Across time and place, a single star map was drawn. Within it, the vase in my childhood home, the scent of the city’s sea, even brief stays during travels, and the dog of a friend who lives far away- all appear as tiny points of light.
Even without knowing each other’s pasts, Andrew and I formed the same constellations.
Light drifts and flickers, a floating cluster.
To be able to draw such a star map-the universe doesn’t know yet.”
