Since 2013, Daisuke Yokata has been working on the Matter series. To create these works, he chooses images at random, prints them and often coats them with hot wax to fuse paper, ink and image, forming a single piece of 'matter'. As part of his self-publishing work since 2014-2015, this is Matter. In this new version, he still works at random with the images that scroll past him like a DJ mixing his pre-recorded sounds, but without any physical intervention on the paper. It's like a rephotograph of his old copies reassembled and edited in a random and unique way.
